Crafty Calendar Dots and Stripes August Challenge with A Day For Daisies

Good morning all.  I hope everyone is well today, we still have warm weather here in the UK which I love but I have found it a little to warm to be sitting in my craft room, so not getting much crafting done at the moment.

Can you believe that it's August already...today is the first Saturday and so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar.

The theme this month is
Dots and/or Stripes

For my card I went with both so I have a dot and stripe overload.

I have used:

Digital stamp 'Little Striped Dress' from 'A Day for Daisies' coloured with copics
The balloons are coated with Glossy Accents.
The DP's are from My Minds Eye Lime Twist 'Fly a Kite' paper pack
The cloud and ground background was created using the My Favorite Things stencils Mini Cloud Edges and Drifts and Hills with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citroen and Broken China.
Had to also add a few sequins.

We are sponsored for this challenge by

who are offering a $12 voucher to spend in their store for one lucky winner.

Pop over to Crafty Calendar and share your Dots and/or Stripe creations and also check out the gorgeous DT cards using other images from out sponsor A Day for Daisies.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and I'll see you soon x

Tiddly Inks For The Birds Birthday Card.

Good evening to all.  Today is my OH's birthday, because we're having a few people around on Sunday I hadn't really planned anything special for Martyn's birthday today other than us both having the day off work, so we decided to go for lunch and then to the cinema to see "The Wolverine"...fab film.... so now we're back home I have just enough time to share the card that I made for him.

With him being a birdwatcher the card always has to have birds on it....

I have used:
Tiddly Inks "For The Birds" digi stamp coloured with copics.
The DP's are from the My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow paper pack.

It's a good job he only has six letters in his name or I might have been in a bit of trouble...  and I know the card doesn't have particularly masculine colours but at least I didn't pick girly pink...which Martyn was relieved about...

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Happy Birthday
The Crafters Cafe - Anything Goes
Crafts And Me - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - BINGO (Twine, Buttons, Sentiment)

Thanks for stopping by.
