Tiddly Inks Skater Girl Wryn Birthday Card

Good morning .  I hope everyone is well.  What an amazing week of weather we had here in the Midlands.  On Wednesday due to the amount of rain that fell in a short amount of time every route home from work was flooded.   I don't think I've ever seen rain like it, a number of vehicles were submerged, so I decided the only option was to park up and head to the pub to wait it out....I know a number of people that had their homes flooded so I was lucky it just affected my route home.

This weekend is celebrating the Queens 90th Official Birthday with the trooping of the colour and street party in the Mall.  My Brownie pack had our own red, white and blue tea party on Thursday celebrating the occasion with red, white and blue cupcakes, jellies and biscuits and making paper plate crowns.  I have a card to share today and it's just by coincidence it's in a patriotic red, white and blue.

I have used:
Tiddly Inks Skater Girl Wryn coloured with copics.
DP's are from my stash.
Red, white & blue ribbon threaded through a star border die cut

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Good morning.  Hope you are all well.  Well we're in June,  the year is nearly half way through.  With two bereavements in the family, I had a sad May so here's hoping June is better which I'm sure it will be, summer will have arrived and the sun will be shining, oh I nearly forgot that I'm in the UK so it will probably be cold and rainy just for a change....

Papermania Watercolour Rainbow Birthday Card

Good morning all.  Hope you are well this morning.

I have been playing with my watercolour paints again so I have a card to share today where I have attempted to make a rainbow effect background.

I stamped the image Papermania Mini Stamp Fox with Archival ink and masked the image with Aquatint Liner.  When that was dry I brushed the watercolour paper with water and then added the different colours of watercolour paint in layers.  I spritzed the image with water to get the colours to blend and merge a little bit more.

When the watercolour was dry I removed the mask from the fox and coloured him with watercolour pencils and clear Wink of Stella.

The greeting is stamped with Archival Ink.  I managed to smudge some ink when I stamped the greeting  so I had to add the orange corner panel to hide my little mistake...

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.

Crafty Calendar May Challenge Mid Month Card - Things With Wings

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a good day.

Just a quick post with a reminder card for our challenge over at Crafty Calendar
The theme this month is
'THINGS WITH WINGS'
and you have until the 28th May to enter this months challenge.

For my card I have used:
Butterfly on a Toadstool digital stamp from Angie's Digital Stamps that I have embossed on watercolour card using a Ranger Emboss It pen and white embossing powder and have then coloured using Spectrum Aqua Pens.
I used blue & green watercolour paints for the background, I applied the colour then sponged it to get a softer mottled finish.
The greeting was stamped with versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder (as you can tell white embossing powder is my favourite thing at the moment).
Mounted onto red and then blue card with 3 card candy in the corners and pearl dots added onto the image using Viva Decor Perlen-Pen

Still need to practise more with my watercolours....

We are have two sponsors for this months challenge so two prizes are up for grabs:

who is offering £10 to send in their store to the other winner.

Pop over to Crafty Calendar to share your 'Things with Wings' creations, don't forget you only have until the 28th May to enter this months challenge.

Visible Image Butterfly Birthday Card.

Good Morning.  Hope you are all well today.

I have a card to share today and as you can see it's another butterfly card.

My last card had butterflies on it and my next post mid week is also a butterfly card.
I'm not sure how this happened as I don't really have a thing for butterflies (I have a bit of an insect phobia) but I've been playing around trying different techniques and butterflies seemed to fit the type of card I was making.

For this card I have used:

Backgound - Have used the Ranger Ink Blending Tool to add colour using the Distress ink pads Tumbled Glass, Seedless Preserves and Shabby Shutters and have then spritzed with water.

I have stamped the Visible Image Butterfly INKognito and greeting with versamark ink and embossed with black embossing powder.

I'm entering this  card into the following challenge:

A Beautiful Mess - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon.

Clearly Besotted Black and White Butterfly With Love Card

Good morning.  I hope you are all well today.

I have a card to share that I made for a friends birthday.  There had been a recent bereavement in the family so I didn't want to send her a jolly Happy Birthday card,  I wanted something a bit more classic, muted and understated.

The DP is from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Monochrome paper pack.
The with love greeting is stamped using versamark ink and embossed using white embossing powder.
The white and black circles are die cut using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Zig Zag Stitched Circle Stax.
White scallop border punched from white card using a Fiskars Scallop Border Punch with black polka dot ribbon added from my stash.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

The Crafty Addicts - Anything Goes/Add a Sentiment
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes/Use a Die Cut
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
