Mermaid Anya and others

It seems like ages since I posted anything so I've got a lot of catching up to do!! I love "The Greeting Farm" stamps and pictured below is a selection of cards I've made using their images.

This stamp used on this card is "Fairy Tink". She has been coloured with Dewent Coloursoft & Sansador and Whispers Pens. The paper is from the Dovecraft Fantasy pack. I love this paper and just couldn't bear to cover it up with anything else. The fairy greeting is from Elzybells.

This image is called "Dorothy Anya" and is available as a download from "The Greeting Farm".
I love "The Wizard Of Oz" & "Wicked" so just had to have this image. She has been coloured with Derwent Coloursoft & Sansador. The papers are from Hot Off The Press, have had them for absolutely ages but I thought they fitted well on this card. The torn paper down the middle is supposed to represent the yellow brick road (well I know it does anyway !!)

Finally this image is "Mermaid Anya" (just in case your couldn't guess!!) and has been coloured with a combination of Sakura Stardust Pens & Derwent Coloursoft & Sansador. The backing paper is from Hot Off The Press and have used Coredinations in the Cuttlebug Embossing folder "Tiny Bubbles" which has then been sanded. The fish are cut using the Cuttlebug Die "2 fish with bubbles.

Thanks for looking

Magnolia Vs Stampavie Week 18

The challenge this week over at Magnolia vs Stampavie this week is to create a card with a Mother's Day theme.

I have used Tilda With Muffin coloured with Derwent Coloursoft and Sansador, the backing papers have been stitched to the card and are from Hot Off The Press (have had them for ages and just never got round to using them), the little "MUM" heart is stamped and coloured shrink plastic and the ribbons, flowers and buttons are from my stash.
Thanks for looking !!

Mother's Day Cards Part 2

After really setting into the task I think I've finally completed all the Mother's Day cards that I've been asked to make.

The one pictured is using Laura Ashley paper and the stamp is Penny Black "Bohemian" stamped and embossed with holographic embossing powder and then coloured with Sakura Souffle pens.

Bargaining For The Range

Being in need of some retail therapy I've been pestering Martyn for day's now, begging and pleading that this weekend we might go to "The Range" in Kidderminster. Well the only way I was going to get there was to agree to go birdwatching with him on the afternoon.
So after going shopping and spending more money than I intended (so many goodies, could have spent more, must resist, must resist), we then spent the afternoon walking around the Wyre Forest. I'm sure if you look at Martyn's Blog you'll find an indepth report of all the birds we saw there but my input into the day extends to taking these pictures of a Tawny Owl (sitting next to the trunk).

Are you sure there are birds in this forest??

I'VE WON CANDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm soooo excited. I was the 200th follower on Susies Blog and I have won all the lovely goodies shown in the above picture. You must check out Susies gorgeous designs at Sassy Designs by Susie at Die Cut Dreams. Thanks Susie it's really generous of you to give all these lovely goodies away. I can't wait to start playing.

My First Anya

Here's my first Anya card. I purchased "Mermaid Anya" & "Rockstar Anya" but decided my first card would have to be "Rockstar Anya" because I'll always be rock chick at heart. I really like the "Miss Anya" stamps - they will definitely have to go on on my wish list.

Used "The Greeting Farm - Rockstar Anya" coloured with Derwent Coloursoft & Sansador. The backing papers are come from one of the DCWV Matstacks (Can't remember which one though).

Mothers Day - So Many Cards...So Little Time

I don't know about anyone else but I don't have enough hours in my days.

I work full time 8am - 5pm, and what with everything else I sometimes find it difficult to fit other things in. A friend has asked me if I can make for her 5 Mother's Day cards. I never refuse an opportunity to make a card and had resolved to try to make one a night. So far this week have made 2 (my one a night plan didn't take long to go out of the window).

The above card was made using (I can't remember what the stamp is called - I'm typing this while on lunch at work so will amend posting when I get home) and the backing papers are from one of the Laura Ashley 6 x 6 paper packs.

Have used stamps from the new "Clare Curd Signature Range - Doodles " coloured with with Whisper pens.

Stamping Bella & Marshmallow

Here's a selection of the cards I made this past weekend. The first one is for my friend Sharon. We went to school together ...... years ago (too many to remember) and maybe meet 2 - 3 times a year but always try to send each other a card at Christmas & Birthdays. The colour appears a bit washed out on this picture but it was a bit more intense than it looks. (I was writing the card at work and realised I didn't have a picture of it, so had to resort to using the camera on my phone).
Used "Stamping Bella - Flowerbella" coloured with watercolour pencils and the backing papers are by Papermania.

I'm trying to build a little stash of cards at the moment to so I can have a few on sale for my Brownie pack at our local church's table top sale. I don't charge a great deal so I might be able to raise a few pennies to go towards some treats for them.

The stamp used is "Stamping Bella - Cupcakeabella" coloured with watercolour pencils, the greeting is from the new "Clare Curd's Signature Range - Sentiments" and the backing papers are DCWV.

I've used my new "Daisy & Dandelion Stamp - Marshmallow" coloured with Dewent Coloursoft & Sansador, the greeting is from the new "Clare Curd's Signature Range - Sentiments" and the backing paper is DCVW.

Candyfloss & Banana Bread

Now I don't get on with the kitchen, I can burn water, so when I decided to bake Banana Bread to take to my Brownie Packs' Fairtrade Night, everyone quaked with fear.

My Brownie unit is taking part in the http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/ world record attempt for as many people all over the world to eat a Fairtrade banana between noon on Fri 6th March & noon on Sat 7th March, so tonight we're meeting up with another unit and have turned it into a Fairtrade themed evening.

My culinary skills were put to the test when the butter wouldn't blend in, but once I got the electric mixer involved things seemed to go to plan.

With a cooking time of 1.5 hours I even managed to make quick card while I was waiting.

My card is for this weeks challenge over at Lili Of The Valley. The theme is "Bright & Beautiful".
I've been dying to try out my stamps from the new "Daisy & Dandelion" range since they arrived.

The stamp is "Candyfloss" from the Marshmallow & Candyfloss pack, the backing paper is from "DCWV - Blossoms & Butterflies" Mat Stack and the stamped greeting is from the new "Clare Curds Signature Range - Sentiments".

Oh by the way - my banana bread didn't turn out to bad. Martyn even said it tastes quite good. A triumph at last !!

Lili Of The Valley Challenge 20

This is my card for the Lili Of The Valley - Sketch Challenge 20. I loved the sketch and the image is one that I'd stamped a while back and then didn't get round to using.

The image is "Penny Black - Plimsoll Pete" and the background paper is DCWV.

Weekend Cards

I had a request for a "Rennie Macintosh" style card. Not sure if my finished result counts as that but it does have a "Glasgow Rose" on it.

Image is from "Woodware Clear Stamps - Glasgow Glass Elements".

Have also made today "Stamping Bella - Red, White & Blue Parisbella".

And "Inkadinkado Bird Quartet"
