Crafty Calendar December Challenge - Happy Christmouse

Good afternoon.  Hope you are having a good day and keeping safe and well.  There was a small dusting of snow when I woke up this morning, It's all gone now but it felt a bit Christmassy for a time.  For the first time I think I'm ready for Christmas, there still some baking to do closer to the day but the decorations are up, the presents are wrapped, the majority of cards are done so I can sort of relax and enjoy the next few weeks.

It's the first Saturday in December so we have a new challenge
The theme this month is
CHRISTMAS

For my card I have used
Christmouse Decoration digi stamp from this months sponsor Lili of the Valley
I coloured the image with copics and then fussy cut it out and mounted it onto a distress oxide blended background.

Crafty Calendar November Challenge - Sheepski Designs Christmas Card

Good afternoon, I hope you are all keeping safe and well.   Here in England we are just starting a four week lockdown so the plan is to have finished my Christmas shopping (working from home has advantages being able to receive those parcel deliveries) and make sure all of my Christmas cards are made.  Last lockdown I started making my Christmas cards so there shouldn't be that many left to do.

It's the first Saturday of November so we have a new monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar and I have another Christmas card to add to my stash.

The theme this month is 'ANYTHING GOES'

My card is made using:
Garden Party digi stamp from Sheepski Designs coloured with copics.
The DP's are from my stash

Crafty Calendar October Challenge - Oddball Art Halloween Cards & Jewellery

Good morning, I hope you are keeping well.    I'm think I'm probably going to get rather wet and windswept today.  Somehow I was "persuaded" to go away for the weekend on a birdwatching trip to Spurn in Yorkshire, not sure why I agreed to this, but the weather forecast is not looking too good.

Well we are in October and it's the first Saturday in the month  so we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.

The theme this month is
HALLOWEEN

For my projects I have gone shrink plastic mad and have made some Halloween jewellery and mounted them on decorated gift cards.

My first card has some witch hat earrings made using black Sizzix shrink plastic.
The image is Witchy Legs, Skirt and Broom from Oddball Art coloured with copics.
The background is blended distress oxides spritzed with water.
The design paper is from the Trick Or Treat Halloween digital paper pack from ErinBradleyDesigns over on Etsy.
The sentiment is from the MFT Frightfully Sweet stamp set.

The second card has some little bat earrings made using black Sizzix shrink plastic.
The image is Bats Creepy Cute Chronicles from Oddball Art.
The background is blended distress oxides spritzed with water and then the image was drawn on top of this with my Scan N Cut and a Ranger embossing pen and then embossed with black embossing powder.
The design paper is from the Trick Or Treat Halloween digital paper pack from ErinBradleyDesigns over on Etsy.
The sentiment is from the Tis the Season Creepy Cute Chronicles stamp set by Oddball Art.

The third card has some little ghost earrings and also a cute ghost pendant made using white Sizzix shrink plastic.
The image is I'm Here For The Boos! from Oddball Art coloured with copics.
The background is blended distress oxides spritzed with water.
The design paper is from the Trick Or Treat Halloween digital paper pack from ErinBradleyDesigns over on Etsy.
The sentiment and little headstone are from the MFT Fab-Boo-Lous stamp set.

The final card has some little pumpkin earrings and matching pendant made using translucent Sizzix shrink plastic which I coloured with polychromos pencils.
The image is Tis the Season Creepy Cute Chronicles from Oddball Art coloured with copics.
The background is blended distress oxides spritzed with water.
The design paper is from the Trick Or Treat Halloween digital paper pack from ErinBradleyDesigns over on Etsy.
The sentiment is from the MFT Spooky Sweets stamp set.

Crafty Calendar Anything Goes August Challenge - Polkadoodles Mermazing Kisses Card

Good morning.  Hope you are safe and well this morning.  I'm here wishing the weather was a little better today, it's changed from a gorgeous day yesterday (when I had to work all day so stuck inside and not able to enjoy it) to being overcast today when I'm not working, never mind that's the UK weather for you.

Can you believe over the half the year has gone already.....August is here and it's the first Saturday in the month so we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.  The theme this month is
ANYTHING GOES
so all projects are welcome this month

For my card I have gone a little bit mermaid.

The image is Winnie Mermaid Mermazing Kisses from Polkadoodles coloured with Chameleon Pens.

Can I just say I love this background.   I created it doing a bit of swooshing with distress oxides and water and  then stamped some circles from the Lawn Fawn Lets's Bokeh stamp set with snowflake Stazon pigment ink and I think it my most favourite background ever...

Hobby Art Waters Edge Birthday Card

Good afternoon.  Hope you are keeping safe and well.

Today is the OH birthday and his card always has to have a bird theme.

This year's card has a few waders pottering about on the waters edge.

I have used
A couple of images from the Hobby Art Waters Edge stamp set that have been coloured with copics.
The background is blended distress oxides.

The birds have been fussy cut and mounted on the card with 3D foam.  It doesn't look like it on this photo, they look quite flat but they are raised up.

The only comment OH made was 'What waders are they supposed to be' not quite the reaction I was hoping for.

Oh well better luck next year.

Thanks for taking the time to visit by my blog and I'll see you soon.

Crafty Calendar July Challenge - Add a Ribbon

Good afternoon.  Hope you are keeping safe and well.  A few lockdown restrictions have been lifted today so a happy 4th of July to you all.
Lots of places can reopen, cinemas, bars, restaurants, museums, etc, if you feel brave enough and can safely keep socially distanced.  Hairdressers can also reopen today so everyone's lockdown hairdos will soon start to be history

It's the first Saturday in the month and we have a new challenge for you
over at Crafty Calendar.  The theme this month is
'ADD A RIBBON'

Today being the 4th of July although I don't celebrate it,  I have a card for those among you who do commemorate American Independence Day, it also gave me an excuse to colour a digital image I have had for ages and not used.

I have used Wryn the Patriot from Tiddlyinks coloured with copics.
The background is stencilled stars and I added some blue spotty and also red and white ribbons.

Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Black and White with Oddball Art

Good afternoon.   How's your lockdown going...I've been working from home for four weeks now, my computer equipment is set up in the spare room where I normally do my crafting so I haven't been crafting as much because some of my crafty stuff has had to move to make room, and when I finish work I like to get out of the room to leave work behind.

But I did get chance to make this card which is for this months challenge
over at Crafty Calendar and the theme is
BLACK AND WHITE

I have used Zeddy the Zebra Zeddys Party from Oddball Art coloured with copics and polychromos pencils

Crafty Calendar April Challenge 'Add a Butterfly' Card

Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well and at home during this time.  The world is a very strange place at the moment.  I'm still going out to work so I don't have too much lockdown time to have fill but I have managed to up-cycle a Ikea toolbox into a sewing box which has been a pending project for a while.

It's the first Saturday in the month and we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is
'ADD A BUTTERFLY'

For my card I have quite a few butterflies.

I have used:
Butterfly Curl digi image from this months sponsor SheepSki Designs coloured with copics and polychromos pencils.

To try to get the butterfly colours as natural as possible I got my Collins 'How to Identify Butterflies'  book from the shelf and loosely based them on actual butterflies...Brimstone, Common Blue, Clouded Yellow, Small Copper and Large Blue, when I say loosely based I mean very loosely.
