Crafty Calendar February Challenge - MFT Monster Love Valentine Card

Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  A little late posting today as I was working this morning and then out at the theatre this afternoon.   A few of us go every year to see the annual Agatha Christie production.  This years play was Murder on the Orient Express, I must admit I was curious how they would adapt it to the stage but it was fab.

As it is the first Saturday in the month so we have a new challenge over
at Crafty Calendar and the theme is "HEARTS" and I went for a lot of hearts...

For  my card I have used:
  • The monsters are from the Monster Love stamp set by MFT (My Favorite Things) stamped in Bee Sting and Love Struck Simon Hurley inks.
  • The background was created using the Simon Hurley stencil Happy Hearts and the same Bee Sting and Love Struck inks.  You can't really tell in the photo but the Bee Sting hearts have a bit of sparkle from the addition of some Astro Paste.
  • The black heart was embossed using the Sizzix embossing folder Confetti Hearts.

Crafty Calendar January Add a Die Cut Challenge - Delightful Butterflies Birthday Card

Good morning and a happy new year,  I don't really make resolutions but I normally state that I will get through the various craft kits that I have received over the years and never got round to doing so we will see how that goes.  It's the first Saturday in January 2025 so we have a new monthly challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar and the theme for this month is
Add a Die Cut.

For my card I have used:
Crafters Companion Photopolymer Stamp - Delightful Butterflies stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
After I heat embossed I sprinkled some color burst powders over the top of the butterflies and then sprayed the image with water so that the powders react and give little explosions of colour over the background.
The sentiment was die cut using the Lawn Fawn Scripty Happy Lawn Cut die.

Crafty Calendar December Challenge - Lawn Fawn Ready Set Snow Christmas Card

Good afternoon and I hope you are well today.  I've just got back from a day trip to Donna Nook in Lincolnshire, our annual trip to see the seals and their new pups so I'm a bit late posting today.

It's the first Saturday in December and over at Crafty Calendar we have our final monthly challenge for this year.  And the theme is 'ANYTHING GOES'.

I decided on a shaker card for this month and have used non-traditional colours.

For my card I have used:
Lawn Fawn stamp set 'Ready Set, Snow' coloured with copics.
The snow globe shaker was cut with my Cricut and then coloured with copics.  I cut eight layers of the snow globe and glued them all together to create the shaker so I didn't need to use any 3d foam.
I stamped snowflakes on the pink background using the MFT 'Snowflake Flurry' stamp set.
The pink candy cane stripe frame is an old digital paper from 'Pink Petticoat/The Lovely Studio' called Raspberry Coulis Candy Cane Stripe which I printed and then cut a frame on my Cricut.

Crafty Calendar September Challenge - Sheepski Designs Snowboardin Snowman Card

Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  Wow can you believe it is September already.    I'm off to Paris for a few days tomorrow so I'm hoping the weather doesn't turn too cold or rainy.

It is the first Saturday of the month so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is
'ANYTHING GOES'.

As it is September I felt it was sort of acceptable to do a Christmas themed card.  I don't normally start Christmas cards this early but I have made a couple already..

For my card I have used:
Snowboardin' digi stamp from Sheepski Designs coloured with copics.
The background is ink blended using Distress Oxides in Uncharted Mariner, Broken China and Salvaged Patina.
I then foiled the background using the Spellbinders Celestial Star Background hot foil plate
I'm not sure what you would call the card shape.  I've used this layout previously to create pop-up cards but have just used it as a card base this time and added my snowman snowboarding down the front snowy hill pop out section.
The sentiment is a piece of card coloured with copics so that it colour matched the snowman and I then added a hot foil greeting using one of the plates from the Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Set.
