Crafty Calendar March Challenge - All Dressed Up Little Patch Puppy Card

Good morning, it is the first Saturday in March and we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.  The theme this month is Buttons or Bows and for my card I decided to go with both.

Three of the flowers are buttons and I added a bow on the sentiment.

For my card I have used:
Little Patch Puppy from All Dressed Up coloured with copics.
The background is part of the Patchwork digital paper pack from DigitalPrintzGB over on Etsy.
I got my sewing machine out and have stitched the paper to the card all around the edge.   I tried to match the zig zag stitching around the edge to the zig zag design on the paper.
I added three buttons as flower heads and a bow to the sentiment banner.

Crafty Calendar June Challenge - All Dressed Up Summer Bird Card

Good morning and a happy jubilee weekend to you if you are in the UK.   I'm enjoying the long weekend, we've had some nice weather the last couple of days but it's a bit overcast at the moment, hopefully it will brighten up soon for any jubilee celebrations that are happening today.

It is the first Saturday in June so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is
'ANYTHING GOES'.

When my computer told me on the 31 May that it was World Parrot Day (didn't even know that that was a thing) I felt a parrot themed card was in order.

For my card I have used:
Summer Bird by All Dressed Up Stamps coloured with copics and polychromos pencils.
I die-cut some flowers and coloured those with copics and added them to the image with some clear crystal dewdrop embellishments.
The background is two toner sheets from the Gina K Designs Vibrant Vines foil-mates pack that have been foiled with Deco Foil Lime Green and Summer Rainbow.

Crafty Calendar May Challenge All Dressed Up Card

Good afternoon.  A little bit late posting today, weekends at the moment are taken up with sorting out all the things that need to be done after someone has passed away.....luckily my OH has given up valuable birdwatching time to help.....although he does keep telling me about all the rare birds that are turning up around the country that he isn't seeing and how it's key migration time....

It's the first Saturday in May so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar
The theme for this month is
'Flowers'
so time to share your floral theme creations.

For my card I have used
All Dressed Up Little Flower Girl image coloured with copics.
The DP's are from my stash, the pink dotty paper is from the Forever Friends Kraft Stack but the flower paper is a random piece and I have no idea where it came from.
The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards

I printed the image in a light pink colour to give it a sort of no line effect when it was coloured.  First time that I tried the technique, I will try it again, but will give it a few weeks to get over this one first...

When I finished the card the hat didn't have dots and the paper flowers.  Before I had photographed the card I had a bit of an accident and had to try and salvage it.

I was messing with a calligraphy pen and red ink and somehow managed to splash the ink and I hadn't moved the card to a safe distance so it had dots of red ink on it.  To try and salvage it I added the dots on the hat and the flowers cut from the paper which cover red ink splashes.  I quite like the dots...they sort of match the paper.

Note to self in future when a card is finished don't leave it on the desk when you start messing with other things.

A short bio about All Dressed Up
Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters,  in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends.  I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors.
I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn /sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.
Digital stamps is a new challenge for me and the opportunity to work with the All Dressed Up Team and has been very exciting, in particular the creative way my characters have been given individual personalities by the designers .
All Dressed Up is a newly launched blog with an enthusiastic team who are passionate about stamping.  The coordinators Anne Lise and Bettina along with an amazing design team are also known as The Dressy Girls.
We have a friendly Facebook page, regular blog posts, tutorials, challenges and freebies .The stamps can be purchased from the Etsy shop which is updated on a monthly basis.
We really are friendly bunch and would love to see your creations so please feel free to contact us and visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.

Good afternoon.  I hope everyone is having a good day, a little bit late posting today but I had to wait until I'd got home from work.  It's been a few weeks since I posted a card because I had a little bit of an accident with my laptop and managed to smash it's screen (I put something on the keyboard and then forgot it was there and closed the lid....very silly) so it's taken a few weeks to get properly back online.

Our theme for this month is
"USE PUNCHES AND/OR DIES".

For my card I have used:
'Smile it's your Birthday' digital image from All Dressed Up coloured with copics.
The heart is cut using a Sizzix die and the film strip was cut using my Cricut Explore and a SVG file called 'Film Strip Frames' from My Scrap Chick

We are sponsored for this challenge by:

Crafty Calendar January Challenge - Something New

Good afternoon to all.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and here's wishing you a healthy and happy 2016,  I can't believe how quickly the years fly by, it only seems five minutes since the last new year.

We have our first challenge of the year over at Crafty Calendar and for January to celebrate the new year we want to see
SOMETHING NEW
on your creations this month.

For my card I have used:
Little Skater from All Dressed Up (new image) coloured with copics
and no DP's on this card, currently I'm into stamping or embossing backgrounds which has led me to have a sort out of my DP stash and I have managed to reduce this by quite about a third (some are too pretty to let go...).

I have stamped the background for this card using a stamp from Marianne Design called Ice Crystals in a contrasting blue memento ink.
Also loving tone on tone cards at the moment.

You can't really tell on the pictures but the dress has also been covered with clear Wink of Stella and then I have added Diamond Dust to the hems of all the ruffles so there's lots of sparkle going on.

We are sponsored for this challenge by

who are offering two images of your choice

and

who are offering a £10 gift voucher

Pop over to Crafty Calendar and share your something new in this months challenge and check out the gorgeous DT creations.

Thanks for stopping by.

See you soon.
