Stampers Anonymous Snow Globe Christmas Cards

Good morning to you and happy December.  I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today.  I love snow globe stamps and dies and todays card uses one of my favourites which is from a stamp set by Stampers Anonymous.

There are two cards using the two different snow globe designs from the stamp set in slightly different shades of blue and one of the backgrounds is using distress snowfall texture paste through a stencil and the other using distress sparkle texture paste....can you tell the difference?

For this card I have used:
  • Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous CMS472 Festive Print stamp set stamped with Distress Archival Ink and then over stamped with versamark ink, heat embossed with Ranger sticky embossing powder and then covered with rock candy glitter.
  • The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the same stamp set and heat embossed in white.
  • The backgrounds are Grey Distressed Woodgrain cardstock.  One of them has been stencilled with Distress Snowflake Texture Paste and the other with Distress Sparkle Texture Paste and then coloured with a combination of distress mica spays and distress inks.  One of the pastes holds the ink colour and the other you can lift the ink from it with a damp kitchen roll.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.  I'll be back tomorrow with a card for our new challenge over at Crafty Calendar

See you soon x

Sizzix Pumpkinhead Halloween Decorations

Good morning,  I hope you are safe and well.  I have a couple of Halloween projects to share today.

I decided to have a go at a couple of spooky decorations using the Tim Holtz Pumpkinhead die from Sizzix.

For the first project I used Pumpkinhead from Sizzix but swapped his head for a Jack Skellington one.
I painstaking drew all of the white lines on  his suit and added a bat for his tie.
The background is made using distress spray stains over the moon mask from Tim Holtz and then some light sprays of the new distress mica stains for a little sparkle.
The lamp post is a cut file on Cricut Design space cut from black card and with a little bit of gilding wax added.
The pumpkins are Putka Pods that I have painted to look like pumpkins.
The gravestone is from the Sizzix Mr Bones die set.

I'm quite pleased with my first attempt at creating a stone effect.
I used:
Idea-ology vignette crypt box.
Distress grit paste
Distress paints in Pumice Stone, Black Soot and Picket Fence
Distress crayons

For my second project I used Pumpkinhead but kept his head this time.  The colours I used are to match my Pumpkin King decoration.  Instead of a stone effect I covered the crypt box with paper that I had embossed and sanded.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog,  I'll see you soon x

The image has been stamped multiple times in Archival ink using Inkadinkado 95129 Sandpiper Rubber Stamp
The background has been blended using Antique Linen and Tumbled Glass Distress ink pads
The frame has been cut using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Square Frames dies.
Greeting is a magazine freebie heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The grasses in the corner are the stems from the Memory Box Die Frangia bouquet.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon.

Hugs x
