Crafty Calendar May Challenge All Dressed Up Card

Good afternoon.  A little bit late posting today, weekends at the moment are taken up with sorting out all the things that need to be done after someone has passed away.....luckily my OH has given up valuable birdwatching time to help.....although he does keep telling me about all the rare birds that are turning up around the country that he isn't seeing and how it's key migration time....

It's the first Saturday in May so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar
The theme for this month is
'Flowers'
so time to share your floral theme creations.

For my card I have used
All Dressed Up Little Flower Girl image coloured with copics.
The DP's are from my stash, the pink dotty paper is from the Forever Friends Kraft Stack but the flower paper is a random piece and I have no idea where it came from.
The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards

I printed the image in a light pink colour to give it a sort of no line effect when it was coloured.  First time that I tried the technique, I will try it again, but will give it a few weeks to get over this one first...

When I finished the card the hat didn't have dots and the paper flowers.  Before I had photographed the card I had a bit of an accident and had to try and salvage it.

I was messing with a calligraphy pen and red ink and somehow managed to splash the ink and I hadn't moved the card to a safe distance so it had dots of red ink on it.  To try and salvage it I added the dots on the hat and the flowers cut from the paper which cover red ink splashes.  I quite like the dots...they sort of match the paper.

Note to self in future when a card is finished don't leave it on the desk when you start messing with other things.

Spectrum Noir Sparkle Butterfly Birthday Card

Good morning all.  Hope you are well today.
Just sharing a card that I made for my friends birthday this week.   I decided to have a bit of a play with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pen Sets.

For the background I have used Emerald Green, Blue Topaz and Inspired Violet Spectrum Noir Sparkle glitter pens from the Spring Summer set.   I scribbled the colours onto my glass mat, spritzed with water and pressed the card into the ink mix to give a really soft pretty effect.

The butterfly stamp is a magazine freebie and this has been stamped with archival ink.
I have used the same three Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens to add a tiny bit of colour and have then blended this out using one of the crystal clear pens.  These have been cut out using the matching die.  The photos don't show how sparkly the butterflies actually are.

The greeting is from my stash stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed using white embossing power.   I've had the stamp for ages, it's unmounted rubber and I forgot to label it so not sure what the make is.

Just a few sequins added to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and I'll see you soon.
