Crafty Calendar Challenge - Christmas In July with Dr Digi Selfie Santa

Good morning to you.  Here we are....the first Saturday in July already so we have a new monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar.   The sun has been shining the weather is warm so obviously our theme for this month is
'CHRISTMAS'....!
Only a 172 days to go......

I have a change from my usual designs because I have a shaker card to share today.

For my card I have used
Selfie Santa from Dr Digi coloured with copics.
The Santa word is a Gemini Edgeable die from Crafter's Companion.  I cut the remainder of the aperture using the Gemini Elements - Square frame die.
A piece of acetate with lots of star sequins, a Christmas greeting and a couple of wooden snowflakes painted silver and then copious amounts of glitter added to them finished the card

Flamingo Frame using Napkin Art and Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning all, I hope Wednesday is treating you well.  Just lately I have been venturing into other crafts so today I have a home decor project to share.

This project started out as a humble paper napkin that I picked up in the sale from my local supermarket. (no flamingo there yet....)

I separated the layers of the napkin and then attached the lop layer to a 10" x 8" artists canvas board using Viva Decor Servietten-Technik Kleber+Lack (which roughly translates to napkins technique glue & varnish).

Once that was fully dry I used the Flamingo Stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils and Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste in Copper Kettle to add my flamingo on to the project.

Then once it was all dry I added into a frame and it was ready to hang on my bedroom wall.

Altenew Sewn With Love Stamp - One Stamp Four Cards.

Good afternoon.  Hope you are having a good day.  If you were out in the Midlands today you wouldn't think it was June, it's more like November, cold, wet and windy, I may even have to think about switching my heating back on.

All this wet weather has given me an excuse to spend a bit of time in the craft room so I have four cards to share all using the Sewn With Love stamp set from Altenew.

The first card is stamped with various purple hues of ink and I then used
Sweet Poppy Translucent Stencil Dimension Paste and Grid Plate Stencil to give a raised grid effect over the top of the image.  I then mounted it on black card and added a white embossed sentiment and a few purple sequins.

The next card is stamped in various red inks, die cut with a stitched rectangle die and mounted on black card.  I then added a stamped sentiment and a few Nuvo Stone Drops in Fiery Volcano.

The third card is stamped in yellow and I then diecut it using the My Favorite Things Cross-Stitch Rectangle Die-namic and added a sentiment and a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow.

The final card is stamped in shades of blue, the sentiment is stamped over the top using Rare Earth Pitch Black ink and is from the My Favorite Things Written In Watercolor stamp set and I added stitched black frame that I cut using an svg file and the Scan-n-Cut on top of the image and added a few Nuvo Stone Drops in Belgium Bluestone.

Flower Birthday Card using Sending Lots of Love from Stamps By Me

Good afternoon.  Hope you are well and having a great day.

I'm back from my hols in Fuerteventura,  I did have a little accident while I was there when I fell down a gravel slope while out birdwatching and made a bit of  a mess of my knee which slightly put a damper on the trip but other than that I had a good time.

I have a card to share today using the free May 2019 members stamp from Stamps By Me.

I have used:
I stamped using Memento Toffee Crunch ink to give a pale outline and then coloured with Chameleon Pens and added a few line details with Chameleon Pencils.

Still getting to grips with the Chameleon Pens, I was tempted to reach for my trusty copics but I do love the blend from yellow to purple on the top pansy style flower, so will try to persevere.

Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Distress It with Peonies from SheepSki Designs

Good morning.  I hope you are having a good day.  I'm a little late posting as I've been busy ironing and packing ready for going on holiday.  I like going away but hate the preparation leading up to it.

We have a new monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme is
'DISTRESS IT'

For my card I have used:

Peonies Image No.154 from SheepSki Designs coloured with Spectrum Sparkle Pens and then sprayed with water for the colour to bleed and spread,
I used Old Paper Distress ink to colour the edges of the paper and distressed the paper round the edges
I used Old Paper Distress Ink and a script stamp from the Hobby Art Becki's Background stamp set in a couple of  places and added a few splashes of watercolour paint.
Mounted onto black card and finished with a check ribbon, a few sequins and stamped sentiment.

One Stencil, Two Cards featuring Imagination Crafts and Distress Oxides

Good morning all.  I have a couple of cards to share today using one Imagination Crafts stencil and three distress oxide ink pads.

For this card I have inked through the stencil using distress oxides in Wilted Violet, Twisted Citroen and Picked Raspberry.

The sentiment is the Lawn Fawn Scripty Happy die cut out three times from black card and layered together.
The birthday sentiment is from the Concord and 9th Say Hello stamp set embossed in black.

For the second card the stencil had ink left on it from stenciling the previous card so I have just spritzed the stencil with water and  pressed a piece of paper on it for a reverse impression.  Just added a greeting and a few Nuvo Dream Drops for the finished card.

 Loving the muted watercolour effect.

Monster Sized Birthday Card

Good morning. Hope you are having a good day, the weather is looking okay at the moment so I think it's going to be a good day apart from the fact I am at work so missing it all..

I have a card to share today which is perfect for a little boy I know and this will be winging its way to Martyns nephew who is turning four.

I have used;
Monsters Sized stamp set from My Favorite Things coloured with copics.
I then cut them out with the Scan'n'cut.
The frame I made using lots of rectangles which I grouped together in CanvasWorkspace and then cut with the Scan'n'cut.

Just a short post today.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and I'll see you soon.

Foiled Flamingo Frame using the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill

Morning all.  Hope you are having a great day.

Just a quick post to share my first project using the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill.  A foiled flamingo frame (try saying that really quickly!!)

For this project I used the Brother Scan n Cut, I haven't tried it with the Cricut yet.

I have used an file called 'Be A Flamingo' from the Lori Whitlock SVG shop   I imported the file into Brother CanvasWorkspace and changed it from cut to draw.  I added a fill onto just the flamingo and then transferred the file to my machine.

I used rose gold foil onto black card and the Foil Quill coped amazingly with the flamingo fill section, I was a bit worried it might not have done.

The frame is a very sparkly rose gold frame I picked up from The Range, a bargain I thought at only £3.99.

The foil quill is easy to use.  Just drop into the blade holder, plug into a power pack, let it heat up for five minutes and away you go.

Now to see what else I can find to foil,  just waiting for my foils of many colours to arrive then expect to see foiling on everything....

Thanks for taking the time to stop my my blog and I'll see you soon.
